Roadside auto sales to be banned - again

Stiff penalties and fines will be issued in the very near future to anyone parking their cars for sale on the side of the road in the Cayman Islands, the Government has said. On Friday 11 August Leader of Government Business, Hon Kurt Tibbetts labelled the repeated leaving of cars for sale on the sides of roads as "an eyesore" that is getting worse and worse and creating a certain level of danger.... read more..


Hurricane forecast downgrade may stabilise insurance rates

The prices for property insurance are expected to stabilise with only a small probability of a slight increase according to Nigel Twohey, Marketing Director for Island Heritage. "The biggest factors are the number of storms, not just for the Cayman Islands, but throughout the Gulf Coast and the Caribbean," said Mr Twohey." Person of the Day - Roberta Jefferson

On her summer break from Wesleyan Christian Academy, Roberta Jefferson works part-time as a receptionist at Dr Wayne Porter's office. "I love the patients and meeting new people and it gives me a chance to spend time with my aunt who works here as a nurse," said Ms Jefferson.
