The Government has more-than-doubled the amount of money each Caymanian student doing A-level courses in private schools in Cayman will get from the Public purse. Up to last year, Government support to A-level students in private schools stood at approximately 35 per cent of tuition costs and now, A-level students at private schools will be entitled to 80 per cent.... read more..
'Rollover should be across-the-board'
Currently, the seven-year term limit rollover policy does not apply to expatriates working as Government's employees, however, the Government believes this should change. Speaking at a Media Briefing by Cabinet Members on 25 August 2006, Minister of Education Hon McLaughlin said that the rollover policy should apply across-the-board. The term limit policy should apply to both Government and private sector expatriate employees, he said.... read more..
