Cayman HospiceCare, a not for profit organization that is committed to provide dignified, quality comfort care, to everyone in the Cayman Islands living with cancer or other end-stage diseases, shall be presenting the Voices for Hospices Charity Concert on Saturday, 10 October from 6:00-9:00pm at The Crescent, Camana Bay.
Voices for Hospices event is a worldwide simultaneous musical event that is held every two years, to promote awareness for hospices programs and raise funds.
To date 44 countries are set to participate and render more than 185 performances. For Cayman HospiceCare it is their fourth year to partake in the meaningful event.
“The Voices for Hospices event itself is very powerful and moving, when you consider how many countries, how many hospices are taking part. We work diligently to increase awareness for Cayman HospiceCare on a daily basis, but the reminder that what we are doing is part of something so much larger is very humbling,” said Jennifer Grant-McCarthy, Fundraising Manager, Cayman HospiceCare.
For a donation of CI$10 to HospiceCare, one will gain entrance to the concert and choose between regular seating or grass seating; for those who want to bring a blanket and a picnic. Tickets are limited and on sale at Books & Books and Cayman HospiceCare.
The event also promotes community and family bonding with extra activities like sing-along and raffles. There will be food vendors that would donate a portion of their sales to HospiceCare.
