Outgoing Governor His Excellency Stuart Jack was guest of honour at the National Museum last week where he carried out an offcial tour of the historic attraction.

“I would encourage everybody to visit the museum. It’s packed with information about the Cayman Islands that is presented in a really exciting way,” Mr Jack said of his visit.

Following the tour on Friday, 13 November, Mr Jack lauded the staff and board for “doing a wonderful job” of preserving the historical building as well as depicting Cayman’s history through modern exhibits.

“And for kids, there are lots of interactive displays with buttons to push,” he added.

The Governor was accompanied by his wife, Mariko Jack; head of the Governor’s office, Steve Moore; Social Secretary, Jacqueline Hennings and RCIPS Auxiliary Officer, Lawrence Wood.

Escorting them through the exhibits and providing commentary were Museum Acting Director Doss Solomon, Exhibitions Manager Wray Banker and Education Coordinator, Nasaria Suckoo.
