Cayman Brac Girls in Tough Match-Ups

Triple C players try to shoot a net during Friday’s game

St Ignatius Netball got the better of Cayman Brac 20-13 in an Under-18 School Netball League fixture at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex on Saturday 31 January.

That loss for the Brac girls followed a Friday night defeat, going down by a 19-21 margin to Triple C.

In the first quarter of the Saturday game, St Ignatius scored 5 while Cayman Brac scored 3. In the second quarter St Ignatius scored 6 to lead with 11 goals to 4 after Cayman Brac only scored once. In the third quarter St Ignatius scored twice while Cayman Brac scored thrice. In the final quarter St Ignatius scored 7 goals while Cayman Brac scored 1.

For the first of these tough match-ups on Friday Cayman Brac kept the score close with their opponents. Triple C had 3 goals and Cayman Brac led with 7 goals to end the first quarter. In the second quarter Triple C scored 7 times while Cayman Brac managed to only score 3. In the third quarter Triple C scored 4 goals while Cayman Brac scored 6 goals. In the final quarter Triple C scored 7 goals to leave the final score at 21 while Brac managed to score 3 to have the final score at 19.
