Cayman Brac Athletes performed well in a meet held at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex on Saturday 7 March.
Amelia Gillespie finished first in the Discus Girls aged 14-16 years after throwing 21.84 metres. This Brac Athlete was second in the high jump after leaping 1.45 metres. She also finished second in the long jump with a distance of 4.40 metres.
Another Brac athlete, Andrew Frederick led in the Boys 14-16 Shot put after throwing a best of 11.23 metres, staying ahead of the pack even with his shorter throws of 10.52, 10.98, and 10.45 metres. Theo Edman who followed him had a best throw of 9.44 metres. His other attempts were 9.12, 9.25 and 9.12 metres.
Andrew also won in throwing the Discus for Boys of his age group when he threw 24.78 metres.
