Since 17 December 2008, Cayman Brackers have been able to relax and get pampered at Nellie’s Beauty Centre – a new locally-owned full-service beauty salon and barber shop.
Nellie’s Beauty Centre is located at White Bay Plaza and is open Mondays to Saturdays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
“Nellie’s Beauty Centre is a full service salon named after my mother, Nellie Grant,” says salon owner, Guianna Scott.
The salon’s staff includes Nelia Agmata and Maria Marilyn-Agmata, both hairdressers from the Philippines, along with a barber, Clive Jemome Grant.
Ladies and gentlemen’s haircuts and hair styles are offered for every hair type, as well as beard and mustache grooming, Other beauty treatments such as eyebrow waxing, spa manicures and pedicures, acrylic nails and airbrush nail designs are also available.
Besides the usual colouring, weaving, braiding and relaxing, Nelia Agmata also performs a very special treatment at Nellies’ Beauty Centre called Japanese Permanent Hair- Straightening, also known as Thermal Reconditioning. This treatment method is a long-lasting hair-straightening method, which is internationally famous for its outstanding results.
Nellie’s Beauty Centre also retails a wide selection of perfumes, colognes, nail polish, cosmetic and hair care products, wigs and hair extensions, as well as fashion jewellery.
“Here at Nellie’s Beauty Centre the staff welcomes everyone with a smile,” says owner Mrs Scott.
And a smile is what Mrs Scott and her employees get in return, when they inform their customers about the beauty specials. Every day the first walk-in customer receives a free relaxing head massage, and on Mondays all treatments are discounted 25 percent.
