Having worked with the Department of Environmental Health (DEH) for 10 years Clive Anthony Bennett is a Bio-hazard Waste Collector and he has a range of other responsibilities as well.
“I am a member of the sanitary crew,” he said. “However, I am also the Lead Hand and, as such, I do a lot of carpentry work. “Carpentry is my first love. I learned it in Jamaica, where I was born, some time before I started visiting Cayman in 1991.
“At the DEH I repair roofs, install windows and paint buildings alongside my other assignments. “The most challenging time for me was right after Hurricane Ivan when we lost our offices at the Landfill and I had to assemble our “container” offices,” he recalled.
