LETTER TO THE EDITOR

I agree there should be no shopping on Sunday

Tuesday, March 28, 2006

Dear Sir:

I agree 100% there should not be any shopping allowed on a Sunday. I’m from Nova Scotia, Canada, last year we had a provincial plebiscite on Sunday shopping. 55% of Nova Scotians voted No to Sunday shopping.

If retail stores are to open, then everything should have to open like government offices, schools, banks, get mail on Sundays. Retail has always been singled out, let’s include the entire work force. I’m with a group called Save Our Sundays, do your kids a favor and keep the stores closed.

Families need time together, there is so much more to life than commercialism.
