CUC National Age Group Track and Field Meet

The cream of the Cayman Islands� age group athletes will descend on the Truman Bodden Sports Complex over the weekend for the CUC National Age Group Track and Field Meet.

The meet will kick off on Friday 31 March at 4:30 pm, with the second session taking place on Saturday 1 April at 9:00 am.

Track events will vary in distance from 60 metres all the way up to 3000 metres, with competitors competing in age groups ranging from 7-9 year old all the way up to the open division.

The field events will feature discus, javelin, and shot put in the throwing events, with long jump and triple jump being contested in the jumps. There will be no high jump competition.

Entries for the event closed at 6:00 pm on Thursday 30 March.

The public is urged to come out and support the young athletes, and maybe they will bear witness to the emergence of the next Cydonie Mothersill or Kareem Streete-Thompson.
