National Trust Traditional Homes Series
The National Trust in celebration of Earth Week and World Heritage Day will be having a showcase of traditional uses of native trees in local architecture and its importance to Caymanian heritage, by Denise Bodden, on 18 April at 7:00 pm. $5 for Trust members; $10 for non-members. CTA Kids Camp
Cayman Traditional Arts will be hosting a Kids Camp where children will experience arts traditional Caymanian crafts and games. The Camp will be held at the South Sound Park (House #2) from 18-21 April (Week 2 Earth Week Activities), from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, for ages 5-9. National Trust Bat Watching
The National Trust invites interested persons to meet on Wednesday19 April at 6:30 pm to observe bats as they make their first flight of the evening. National Gallery Art Flix Series presents ‘Maya Lin – A Strong Clear Vision – on Wednesday 19 April at 5:30 pm at the Harbour Place gallery. Eco Art Party
The National Gallery and the Department of Environmental Health are hosting their annual Eco Art Party. Tourism Forums in the Eastern Districts
The Ministry of Tourism invites residents of the Eastern Districts to a series of free forums as follows: North Side Civic Centre: Saturday 22 April; and the East End Civic Centre: Saturday 13 May. Health & Family Fair
The Savannah Seventh-day Adventist Church will be having a Health and Family Fair on 23 April from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on the church grounds. There will be health screening, health lectures, natural juices and food on sale, a Ms Mineral and Mr Vitamin Pageant, a bouncing castle for he children, games and much more. The fair is free of cost.
Ol’ Time Family Fun Fair
CTA is working alongside the CNCF assisting with a new Cayfest event to take place on 23 April from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Old Tree House location. There will be taste-testing of local food by representatives from each district, a variety of Caymanian arts and crafts, and 2006 Chalk Fest will be facilitated by the National Gallery.
