Men arrested on Seven Mile Beach

Police said that two men were arrested early on Tuesday morning, 2 May during an operation undertake by officers from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) from both West Bay and George Town police stations.

The two men were taken into custody after they were found in suspicious circumstances on the north end of the Seven Mile Beach along the West Bay Road.

A Jamaican canoe and a large quantity of gasoline has also been seized. Although police did not say if any drugs had been recoverd during the operation, officers from the Drugs Task Force (DTF) and Marine Unit are reportedly now investigating the matter.

Earlier in the day several residents had reported to Cayman Net News that they had witnessed RCIPS officers busy in the area of Victoria House Condos on the West Bay Road.
