After a number of tough encounters, Scholars International and Money Express Football Club have earned their spots in the 2006 FA Cup Final set to take place on Sunday, 21 May 21 at 4:00 pm at the Annex Field. Players and fans alike are looking forward to an exhilarating match as the two teams clash in a titanic title struggle.
Scholars International Coach, Antonio Smith said his team made a few mistakes in their match against Roma United this past Sunday (14 May).
He was not satisfied with the way they played and knows his team is capable of playing a better game. Having already played Money Express in the Foster’s National League, Scholars is anxious to play them again in the FA Cup Final and will be coming out in full force.
“If you (the public) want to see good football come out on Sunday, May 21st, 2006 for an evening of excitement,” said Coach Smith.
According to Athelston “Playmaker” Watts, Manager of Money Express, it will certainly be a very tough battle between the two teams.
“Scholars is a very experienced team in terms of playing finals. Scholars have not won the FA Cup in a number of years and have stated that they would like to take the Cup away from Money Express, the defending champions,” he said.
According to Watts, Money Express is coming out on Sunday to defend their title and will not be surrendering the championship. He also said that Money Express will be the champions and will be giving 155 percent.
Although the team was eliminated from the league finals, and therefore deprived of a chance to make a clean sweep of all the titles on offer, Money Express is very determined to defending the Cup. The promise has been made that Money Express will play Money Express Football on Sunday.
Football fans are encouraged to come out to the game on Sunday, and as an added incentive, the entrance fee entitles spectators to a chance to win a trip to the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
The raffle for the tickets will take place on Sunday 28 May 2006 at the Foster’s National League Finals at the Annex Field.
