Monday, July 3, 2006
WestStar Cable TV Ltd. recently announced a special promotional offer on their popular Sports Max package. Subscribers can now include Sports Max to their WestStar cable channel selection at only $10 per month effective from Saturday 1 July.
"Subscribers to our Basic cable package are now able to add Sports Max at a very low monthly cost," says Richard Corbin, Operations Manager, WestStar TV. "We are pleased to be able to offer our customers a price cut, especially at a time when consumers increasingly find themselves reaching deeper into their pockets for the basic utilities."
'Sports are such a major part of the Island's culture, hence why we're are delighted to announce the promotion in the run up to the Football World Cup Quarter Finals and other world sporting highlights', he adds.
Sports Max's strategy is to focus on the needs of the regional market, marrying local sports coverage with popular international content. Subscribers can tune in to Football World Cup highlights from 7:00 am to 8:00 am in the morning and again in the evening from 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Amongst many others, Sports Max also features a comprehensive review of the past season's English Football Premier League as well as the Cricket One Day Internationals between England and Sri-Lanka.
'We will continue to work diligently in maintaining good relations with our programming providers in order to carry on providing good and affordable television to WestStar subscribers', says Richard Corbin.
