St Ignatius swimmer takes bronze medal in Colombia

Competing in the National Interclubs Swim Meet in Columbia, Carolina Watler, a 14-year-old student from St Ignatius High School won the bronze medal in the 100 metres breaststroke. She also just missed another bronze medal in the 200 metres breaststroke, being beaten into fourth place by just a split second.

Carolina was returning to Colombia after attending the Bilingual School of Santa Marta in 2004/5 after Hurricane Ivan. During her stay there she achieved the qualifying times which enabled her to compete in this year's the National Championships.
