Dear Sir:

If I remember correctly, many years ago a US company came to Cayman to setup wind turbines on the Bluff. Everyone I'm sure has seen the pictures of the windmill looking generators in California. These things require only a minimal wind to turn; I believe it's only a few knots.

Yet at the time CUC graciously turned them down saying it was unfeasible money-wise or output-wise. I guess CUC has never heard of step up transformers or maybe it's because their monopoly at the time was too sweet a deal to share.

I urge everyone who reads this to take great interest in CUC's dealings with 'alternative energy', especially if it concerns bringing someone else in. This should have been done years ago!
