Face the gambling issue head on

Dear Sir:

Thank you for your editorial on "numbers". As you know, I support the concept of "hotel only, non resident use casinos" and a national lottery system. Casino licenses will create a new huge income stream for the government.

These funds will create the full recovery from the affects of Ivan and will be a continuous source of income. Reduction in fees and duties can be passed onto the professional service industry, tourism, real estate and construction industries stimulating long term controlled growth.

A national lottery system will finally put to bed the hypocrisy of the betting, numbers and gambling that has been practiced in Cayman for decades. Face the issue head on and make a positive out of it for the people and the country.
