Licensing Office Closure
The Licensing Office at Walkers Road will be closed until Friday 4 August, in order to complete remediation work. Customer Service staff from the Walkers Road location will be relocated to Elgin Avenue, which is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and the West Bay location, open Tuesday-Friday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Liquor License Reminder
The Liquor Licensing Board of Grand Cayman is reminding all holders of liquor licenses and music and dancing licenses that the deadline for renewal is Friday 4 August. However premises are required to be inspected by the Fire, Planning and Environmental Health departments before the 4 August deadline. Conch and Lobster Seasons & Fishing License Reminders
The Department of Environment and Marine Conservation Board wishes to remind the public that a fishing license is required for work permit holders who wish to fish from shore for consumption. Applications for annual or monthly fishing licences can be obtained from the DoE's office on North Sound Road. The DoE would also like to remind the public of the parameters for the lobster season which is now closed until 30 November 2006 and the conch season, which will close on 1 May through to 31 October 2006. National Gallery's Little Artists Programme

The Marine Conservation Board
The Marine Conservation Board is reminding residents who do not possess Caymanian status, or who are on work permit, that a license is required if they wish to fish from shore for consumption. 'Catch-and-release'sport fishing for game fish such as Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit etc. does not require a license. The general public is also reminded that the taking of any marine species of fish less than 8 inches in length is illegal anywhere and by any means in Cayman waters. This does not apply to 'baitfish species' such as 'Fry', 'Anchovy', 'Sprat', or 'Goggle Eye'. Those persons who possess fish pots are further reminded to follow construction specifications of the traps required by law.
