Sasha Barnes
Customer Service Officer

As a Customer Service Officer, Sasha Barnes gets to serve clients from all walks of life at the Fidelity Bank in Grand Cayman.

Ms Barnes started off as Customer Service Representative two years ago and progressed to her present position in April.

Her responsibilities as a Customer Service Officer include opening and closing of accounts, promoting new products and services, and attracting and maintaining clients.

"Generally, I'm here to give them the very best customer service and good hospitality," she said.

"I like interacting with customers and I would like to feel that I have helped someone make a good decision or a wise investment," she added.

To be successful as a Customer Service Officer, Ms Barnes recommended strong communication skills and determination to succeed.

"You have to have an outgoing personality and be strong with your communication skills," she said.

"You will have to concentrate a lot and have a determination to achieve your customer service goals."

In January, Ms Barnes begins an Associate's Degree programme in Business Finance at the University College of the Cayman Islands.

"My main goal is to get into a field of work where I'm comfortable and I can excel in my duties and be a great benefit to my employer," Ms Barnes said.

"I want to pass on the knowledge to younger Caymanians and let them know that it's not an easy world out there because without education you have nothing."

Ms Barnes is a defender and captain of the Future FC football team, which places strong emphasis on education and training of young women.
