Heightened Security measures
The local British Airways representative has asked that media be notified that locally they have adopted the same security measures advised by the TSA for US carriers. The heightened security measures will therefore be applied to passengers travelling to the UK from Cayman on British Airways flights.

RCIPS - Collection of Fees
The Licensing Department will no longer be collecting fees in regards to Firearm Permits or Police Reports. All fees will now be collected at the Criminal Records Office located at GT Police Station between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Conch and Lobster Seasons & Fishing License Reminders
The Department of Environment and Marine Conservation Board wishes to remind the public that a fishing license is required for work permit holders who wish to fish from shore for consumption. Applications for annual or monthly fishing licences can be obtained from the DoE's office on North Sound Road. The DoE would also like to remind the public of the parameters for the lobster season which is now closed until 30 November 2006 and the conch season, which will be closed until 31 October 2006. The UCCI Library is open Monday to Thursday 8:00 am - 7:30 pm and Fridays 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and is closed on weekends. Persons of the community who are interested can become members of the library. National Gallery's Little Artists Programme
The Little Artists programme at the National Gallery Education Centre is a new drop-off programme that allows children aged 3 to 6 to explore their creative side. Cost per session is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members, and is held weekly at the NGEC, Bay Town Plaza (formerly Merren's Plaza) each Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. The Marine Conservation Board
The Marine Conservation Board is reminding residents who do not possess Caymanian status, or who are on work permit, that a license is required if they wish to fish from shore for consumption. 'Catch-and-release' sport fishing for game fish such as Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit etc. does not require a license. The general public is also reminded that the taking of any marine species of fish less than 8 inches in length is illegal anywhere and by any means in Cayman waters. This does not apply to 'baitfish species' such as 'Fry', 'Anchovy', 'Sprat', or 'Goggle Eye'. Those persons who possess fish pots are further reminded to follow construction specifications of the traps required by law.
