Music Station, X107.1, has teamed up with leading athletic footwear retailer, The Athlete's Foot, to encourage high marks in school and give one lucky student the chance to get the rock star treatment.

The 'Study Like a Rock Star' promotion will see the winning student picked up from their home on the first day of school in the X107.1 Corvette and taken to school followed by the X107.1 van, which has a built-in Xbox and giant flat screen TV.

The winner and their friends will enjoy playing Xbox with on air personality JKruz.

The winning student will also get their favourite breakfast and lunch items for that day, and, on top of that, they will win new shoes for a year from The Athlete's Foot.

"The first day of school can sometimes be a bit daunting for children after the summer holiday, so it's wonderful to give a lucky listener the chance to 'Study Like a Rock Star' and have something to look forward to at the end of the break," said  J-Kruz, Program Director for X107.1.

"We want to encourage every student in Cayman to make the pledge to study hard this school year."

Adrean Russell, manager of The Athlete's Foot, added that they wanted to encourage youngsters to study.

"Back to School is an important time of year for The Athlete's Foot and we are proud to be part of this promotion to encourage Cayman's youth to study."

Students can enter the contest by signing a pledge card to study hard during the school year at The Athlete's Foot store in Queen's Court Plaza.
