Pro Performers for the third quarter, Alero Abrams, Assistant Customer Service Manager and Lester Hulse, Corporate Manger.
Focusing on the development of employee morale within the company, FirstCaribbean bank said it has introduced a new employee initiative.
The bank said to help foster employee spirit and dedication the Pro Performers Recognition Programme, rewards professionalism and performance across the region by exemplifying the bank's motto to "Get There Together."
With quarterly and yearly winners chosen, FirstCaribbean said it is able to honour staff who consistently go beyond the scope of their job descriptions, motivating them to achieve higher standards in performance.
For the third quarter of 2006, two winners were chosen by the Cayman Islands management team.
Each Head of Department nominates their "Pro Performer", and through a justified decision based on the employee's performance, creativity and team spirit, overall winners are chosen.
The two winners selected for the third quarter are Lester Hulse, Corporate Manager, and Alero Abrams, Assistant Customer Service Manager.
Originally from Belize, Mr Hulse joined Barclay's Bank in 1965. He moved to the Cayman Islands in 1971, and has since made the Islands his home. He is honoured that his fellow coworkers chose him as a Pro Performer
"Good recognition is often overlooked. At times we tend to criticize one another without offering constructive or positive feedback. I believe this programme helps people achieve better in their career," he said.
Alero Abrams also shares similar thoughts to Mr. Hulse's, believing that the Pro Performers Programme is indeed beneficial to companies.
"I am hopeful that people will see this as a tool to recognise good work, and the efforts put out by our colleagues. This is a great example for others to follow," she added.
The Pro Performers Programme rewards winners with a Silver Pin, a certificate from FirstCaribbean's CEO, and a monetary award.
The prizes generate a positive sense of competitiveness amongst coworkers, enticing everyone to go beyond their normal scope of responsibilities and achieve new heights, both personally and professionally.
