Alex Carias |
Originally from Honduras, Alex Carias migrated to the Cayman Islands in 1989. Since then, he has been employed at the Wharf restaurant as a Maintenance worker. He is father to a 9-year-old daughter, called Alexis. He has represented the Cayman Islands in running competitions both here and overseas.
“I used to be the top runner on the Island,” he said.
Alex has been to various countries including Costa Rica, Mexico and the Bahamas through running.
“I have about 35 trophies for the sport at home,” he boasted. After 12 years into his running career, he retired about 3 years ago but his love for the sport has brought him back. “I am training now,” he said.
Alex describes himself as a ‘cool guy’. He advises people to achieve their goals and aim for the best in life.
