Doxa Sub 750T

As Island Companies Ltd congratulated all of this year’s inductees to the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame here in Grand Cayman last Thursday, it is newsworthy to note the watch that started the serious dive watch business is back and Grand Cayman’s Island Companies Ltd is one of only a small handful of official Doxa retailers in the world.

Developed in collaboration with renowned French diving pioneer Claude Wesley and the legendary Jaques Cousteau, the Doxa Sub was the first dive specific watch, the first orange dial watch and the holder of the first patent ever issued for a dive specific watch for their no-decompression table bezel.

This new industry standard was presented to the world at the Basel World Watch Fair in 1966.  Doxa further pioneered dive watch innovation by producing the first dive watch featuring a helium escape valve and continued to set the standards for serious, professional dive watches worldwide.  The original models are top collectors items today!

Since the 35th anniversary of the SUB in 2002, Doxa has released ultra-exclusive limited editions of their famous SUB models and in 2005, reintroduced the regular manufacture of the Doxa SUB line with the new SUB750T re-issue models.

Island Companies Ltd. is the only retailer selling the officially certified chronometer limited editions of these coveted new watches.

Made famous by Jaques Cousteau, Lloyd Bridges, author Clive Cussler and The Seahunters, this “uber-exclusive” watch is a piece of history and ‘must have’ for any serious diver or water sportsman!

“Doxa.  Often imitated but never matched.”
