The Cayman Islands Cancer Society has announced the “Laughin’ for Hope” fundraiser. The event will be a unique opportunity for one night only to see world-class comedians on stage in the Cayman Islands.

The headliner for the event will be comedian Shaun Jones. Mr Jones has performed in comedy clubs throughout the United States and has made several television appearances. His most notable appearances have been on the NBC show “Later,” and on BET’s “Comic View” and “Teen Summit.”

Mr Jones has also had cameo appearances in films such as Ace Ventura II. Featured along with him will be comedian Dave Tucker, who is the winner of HBO- sponsored comedy festivals.

A Random Ill-Conceived Sketch Comedy Project Created in Haste Cayman Ltd. - a group becoming well-known in the country for their comedic skits – will perform that night as Dave ‘n’ Teri.

The Big Kahuna will emcee the fundraiser and Margaritaville will host the event on Thursday, 1 March. Doors will open at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 8:00 pm.

Tickets are available from the Cayman Islands Cancer Society office on Maple Road or the Z99 and Rooster 101 studios in the Crighton Building on Crewe Road.

Margaritaville, the Grand Caymanian Resort, Z99 and Rooster 101 are sponsors of the fundraising event.
