Dear Sir,
Thanks, Kofi Tafari, for confirming all that I have been saying all along. It’s time to stop and make the changes necessary to fight and solve crime in the Cayman Islands, and beef up safety and security measures.
A Secret Service system needs to be put in place to protect government officials, VIPs at risk, elected officials and the police need to be armed to protect taxpaying civilians when attacked by gun-toting criminals.
Bragging that Cayman and British police don’t need guns is a joke and, anyone that believes that myth, you’re a joker.
We have too many unsolved crimes that are unsolved mysteries. Why? The answer is the evidence and crime scene is always compromised.
The criminals have full access to the crime scenes more than the police, who leave the scene unattended, unsecured and open for public trampling at everyone’s pleasure, including the gunslinger responsible for the crime! This is a crying shame and it must cease.
The Governor is the only individual guaranteed safety, with armed security; he has an armed policeman at his behest 24 hours a day. This is not fair; the people need to feel safe as well.
It’s time to arm our police force and take our country back from the gun-toting criminals who are terrorising the communities of what was once our beloved Cayman Isle.
