6 STEPS TO THAT PERFECT SHAVE
Exfoliate With a facial scrub.. this removes dead skins cells from your face and also helps lift your stubble. Make sure to choose a facial scrub that contains small beads for a gentler scrubbing.
Prepare A preshave oil is essential if you have more than a day’s growth. A few little drops ensure easier strokes and smoother shave.
Lather A brush is best for lifting whiskers. If you go hands-on, ensure you really massage the foam/gel into your beard and cover every hair.
Shave The best razor is one that lets you use a light stroke so you don’t push down too hard, risking nicks. You want to shave downward on your face and neck, with the direction your whiskers grow.
Moisturise Once you’re done shaving, leave your face a little damp by patting and not rubbing with a clean towel and massage in a moisturiser (ideally with an SPF) or aftershave to seal in the moisture. You will smell great and it will also keep you from looking old before your time!! No matter what your skin tone, your face will appreciate this extra step for a long time to come.
Restore Once a week use a natural clay facemask to help skin heal from the taxing process of shaving. It can’t be used as a Halloween costume, but soothing minerals and oils calm shaving irritation. |
