Saturday, 3 October Kids’ Day at The Observation Tower, 10am-2pm Opening celebrations for The Observation Tower continue on this day with fun activities for children from 10am -2pm, including storytelling, treasure hunt, kite making, games, freebies and stilt walker appearance to add to the excitement of the day!
Saturday, 10 October Voices for Hospice Concert, 6-9pm In conjunction with the newly opened Crescent at Camana Bay, The Cayman National Choir and The Cayman National Orchestra will provide an evening of music and community as Voices for Hospice raises funds and awareness for Hospice Care through the magic of music. Voices for Hospice are a wave of simultaneous concerts around the globe, which take place on World Hospice and Palliative Care Day every two years. Entry from 6pm, concert will start promptly at 6:30pm. Tickets are $10 per person and are available from Books and Books, Camana Bay and from Cayman Hospice Care at the Conch Shell House, 492 North Sound Road.
Saturday, 17 October Doggies’ Day Out, The Crescent, from 3pm Spoil your best friend at the Doggies’ Day out on The Crescent starting at 3pm. Pups can look forward to a photo shoot with Picture This and an afternoon of fun filled four legged crafts before cuddling up under the stars for the dogs’ double bill open air movies, Lady and The Tramp and Beverly Hills Chihuahua. The Cayman Islands Humane Society will be present to sell tickets for their annual Fashion Show fundraiser – to be held at The ARC, Camana Bay on Saturday 24th October. They would be delighted to accept cash donations or supplies for the dogs in the shelter.
Sunday, 18 October 9th Annual Cut-athon at Eclipze Eclipze Hair Design & Day Spa will be holding their 9th annual Cut-A-Thon for Breast Cancer. All proceeds are donated to the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens in aid of breast cancer awareness month.
Wednesday, 21 October Floetry at Books and Books, 7pm Get into the flow with Floetry at 7pm for another special night of words and wisdom, poetry and people. Join some of Cayman’s most talented poets and performers share their work during an Open Mic night of poetry and readings. Share your own work or just listen to others. If you’d like to perform at Floetry, stop by Books & Books to sign up. Floetry takes place on the third Wednesday of the month.
Saturday, 31 October Halloween Spooktacular, The Paseo, from 5pm Have a ghoulishly good time this Halloween as Camana Bay hosts an array of activities for your little monsters including pumpkin painting, apple bobbing, duppy story telling and a visit to the monster lab where children are challenged with identifying monster body parts through touch alone. All the family will have fun trick or treating through the shops at Camana Bay and can show off their monster moves when Bona Fide joins in for the Monster Mash Bash, which will include a monster freeze dance competition and a creepy costume parade. Screenings of Casper (PG) and Coraline (PG) will cap the night from 7pm in Gardenia Court. |
