Byron Lee's 'Dragonaires' to Perform

Oscar B and Jumo, lead singers with the renowned Byron Lee and the Dragonaires band, will hit the stage here as guest performers in the Pirates Week Festival, which runs from 6-16 November this year.

Backed by visiting band IMIJ & Company, the artists will perform at annual street dances in George Town, Grand Cayman, on Friday, 7 November and Saturday, 15 November.

Oscar B will entertain on 7 November and Jumo will be the guest singer on the closing 15 November street dance. Local audiences are familiar with the two singers who are known for their energetic and crowd-interaction performances.

Oscar B, who was a guest performer in last year’s festival, said: “I have made a lot of friends in Cayman and the crowds at Pirates Week are always jamming, so I am looking forward to coming back.”

Jumo, who will appear on the closing night, said: “I have heard about Pirates Week, and I can’t wait to get there and join in the party. I have got a mix of old and new stuff the people will love.”

The visiting musicians will be joined by local performers Hit Depot, Bona Fide, Red White & Blues, Xplosion, Impulz, Heat, Musical Crew, Core, Panoramers, JR Douglas, and Wata Soaked.

Pirates Week will also feature District Days in West Bay (Monday, 10 November), North Side (Tuesday, 11 November), Bodden Town (Wednesday, 12 November), George Town (Thursday, 13 November, and East End (Friday, 14 November).
