Earth Day - What is there to ‘Sea’ in the Grass? Tuesday, April 22, 2:30-4:30 pm Discover the wonderful world of seagrass with a presentation at the National Trust house followed by a snorkel across or walk along a seagrass meadow. An Island-Wide Bat Count on Grand Cayman Interested persons are invited to volunteer their time with the National Trust Bat Conservation Programme up to Monday 28 April to help count the bats at the 49 bat houses around Grand Cayman. Count the bats at sunset! Even three bats coming out of a bat house is significant - it means they have found it and more will be there soon. Bottle Crusher for Recycling at National Trust The National Trust informs the public that they have received a Bottle Crusher for recycling. Also needed are large trashcans and used 5 gallon Tubs for storing recycled glass from their Bottle Crusher. Recycled glass will be for sale (CI$1 a tub) and can be used for filling in driveways, under tarmac etc. Those interested in seeing demonstrations are invited to visit the Visitor’s Centre at Dart Park, South Sound, from Mondays – Friday, at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. They ask that people bring clean empty bottles for recycling and “help us help you recycle!”
Used Stamps The National Trust is also collecting used stamps. Just drop them off at the Visitor’s Centre at the Dart Park or Mission House.
