The Cayman national sevens squad. Last weekend, in a game against Jamaica, Cayman won back the Palais/Gemini Cup for the first time since 2002.

The Cable & Wireless national sevens squad will be looking for a second tournament win this weekend when they will play in the second leg of the series against host Ama Tsotsi.

Leg Two is dedicated to South African food and beverages and is a must for all of the family.

Ama Tsotso, along with the O’Neill Wolfhounds and Maples Academy, are all expected to field much stronger teams so the national squad will be tested to the full this Saturday.

The national women’s squad will also be looking to improve on their performances of two weeks ago as they also prepare for the Rugby World Cup sevens qualifiers in the Bahamas next month.

The youth division is also set to take off on Saturday, 20 September. In the social division all four teams are close and Maples, the A La Kebab Clydesdales, RE/MAX Tarnished Turtles and RE/Max Knackers will all be looking for wins to advance their championship prospects.

The Tarnished Turtles beat Jamaica Old Crocs for the in Kingston on 13 September. Cayman won back the trophy for the first time since 2002.

The game marked the first time that Cayman has travelled to Jamaica to play for the trophy since 1999. Cayman won 34-26 in a hard-fought match on a blisteringly hot day at the JDF grounds in Kingston.
