Museum seeks photos and information Administrators of the Cayman Islands Museum are appealing to the public for any building-related historic photographs and information, to be used for reference purposes only. Urgently required are photographs of the exterior and interior of the Old Courts Building and Gaol and/or information on the former uses of this public building. Museum staff is also seeking specific objects such as a period gavel, a 1950s policeman’s uniform and, for an unrelated exhibit, a Cayman Turtle Soup can or other objects pertaining to the turtle canning industry. Conch and Whelk Season Closes This is a reminder that the conch and whelk-taking season has ended. Department of Environment officials accordingly remind the public that anyone found guilty of violating the law is liable to a maximum penalty of CI$500,000 and one year in jail.
