On Saturday, 25 October the Brenda Tibbetts-Lund Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place at 6:00 am at the West Bay Public Beach. Come out and support this very worthy cause. Lots of prizes and surprises. Registration will take place on Friday (24th) at the Women Resources Centre.

Vision Miracle Church of God will be hosting a rally in association with their Women’s Ministry on Friday 24 October, at 190 Eastern Avenue, Unit 4, Dolphin Centre at 7:00 pm sharp. All are invited.

Boatswain’s Beach’s Happy Fridays
On Friday 24 October - Party from at Boatswain’s Beach from 4:30 pm until 12:00 am (midnight) at Boatswain’s Beach Happy Friday’s featuring DJ Alic and Lammie - Cayman’s most popular one man band. Drink specials all night...Admission FREE!

Boatswain’s Beach hosts Halloween Dance Party
On Saturday 25 October – Make your way to Boatswain’s Beach Halloween party if you dare to have a horror filled day of pure fun and terror. Come dressed in your costume and join the costume parade, go trick or treating, learn to make scarecrows, enjoy the Halloween dance party...and much, much more. There are lots of prizes to be won! The fun starts at 11:00 am and ends at 7:00 pm. Adults $10, Children Ages 5-12 $4, Ages 4 and under FREE.

Scotiabank hosts Ruby Jubilee 40th Anniversary Celebration
Scotiabank is inviting all customers to come and join them at their Ruby Jubilee 40th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 25 October from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for family fun, including entertainment, food, kiddies corner and more!!! Fundraiser for musician Skanky (aka Errol Grant)
A fundraiser for Skanky (aka Errol Grant), who was diagnosed with cancer last year, will be held on Saturday 25 October from 7:00 pm- 11:00 pm on the Paseo at Camana Bay. Performance by Bona Fide. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Rotaract Blue hosts Family Fun Day Event
Rotaract Blue Cayman Islands Open Arms Committee will host a Family Fun Day Event on Saturday 25 October at the Airport Park. The fun begins at 12:00 noon. Come out with your families and join Rotaract Blue in celebrating and supporting those in the community with disabilities and those that care for them. National Trust is hosting Gala Dinner
The National Trust will be hosting a Gala Dinner on Saturday 25 October at 6:30 pm and are inviting interested persons to help them celebrate 100 years of the Petra Plantation, Grand Old House. The evening will include a champagne reception, dinner with wine and a unique auction of antiquities and artifacts relating to 1908.
There will also be live music and story-telling of old-time Cayman. All proceeds to benefit the Mission House. To purchase tickets or reserve tables please call 949-0121 or email info@nationaltrust.org.ky $150 per person.

Community Video Ministry holds Special Ladies Night
Community Video Ministry is having a Special Ladies Night on Saturday 25 October at 7:30 pm at the John A Cumber School Hall. This will take the form of a fundraiser for children in need and senior citizens’ Christmas 2008 support.
Guest speakers include local residents Judy McGaw Salazar and Donna Dandie, and from the Philippines, Marilyn Gonzales. Special musical items and dramas. Tickets are $10.00. Refreshments will be served. For more info call Darvin at 916-0019.

Agape Family Worship Centre hosts Promise Keepers’ Simulcast Event
Agape Family Worship Centre will be hosting on Saturday 25 October, PK (Promise Keepers) Adventure’s from 8:00 am to 10:00 am instead of 9:00 am to 11:00 am as previously advertised. All men are invited to this life-changing two-hour simulcast, part of PK Adventure, a new and comprehensive men’s ministry programme. Cost to attend: $10.00 per person.

Generation NOW’s Presentation
Generation NOW’s presentations are held every Saturday at the Family Life Centre, located on Academy Way, just off Walker’s Road from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The theme for the month of October is “What on Earth Am I Here For?” The focus of this theme will be “Living With Purpose”. The presentation for Saturday, 25 October will be led by Latoya Francis. Everyone is invited to attend. Call Stanford at 925-6836 for more information.

National Gallery’s Cine Club: Jean de Florette – 1986 (France)
For the foreign and art-film lovers, who want cinema experience of movies from around the world outside of mainstream movies, The National Gallery will be holding “Cine Club” at its Harbour Place venue sponsored by Our Secret Agency and showing the film Jean de Florette – 1986 (France) on Monday 27 October from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Boatswain’s Beach hosts Monday Night NFL Games
On Monday 27 October all are invited to come and watch the Monday Night NFL games on big screen at Boatswain’s Beach. This is on every Monday night. Kick off time 7:30 pm. Enjoy a 50 cents Beer special until the end of the first Quarter. Admission FREE.

Celebrations’ Annual Holiday Open House & Customer Appreciation Evening
Celebrations is inviting everyone to their annual Holiday Open House & Customer Appreciation Evening at their Celebrations Enchanted Store in the Mirco Centre on Tuesday, 28 October from 4:30 pm until 8:30 pm. Lots of prizes to be won and discounts in-store. Win one of three beautiful wreaths in their raffle in aid of The Humane Society, The Cancer Society and The Red Cross. Raffle tickets on sale in-store now.

Bat Watching at Watler’s Cemetery
The National Trust invites interested bat watchers to meet at Watler’s Cemetery to hear old time stories about duppies and pirates on Wednesday 29 October at 5:30 pm. Meet under the bat house to observe the bats as they make their first flight of the evening at sunset. A unique experience suited for all ages! CI$15 for Trust members, $20 for non-members. John Gray Memorial Church presents Exciting Musical Concert
John Gray Memorial Church Men’s Fellowship presents an exciting musical convert featuring local talents on Friday 31 October from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Agape Family Worship Centre shows CCN’s Veggie Tales’ Animated Video
