National Spelling Bee Competition 2008 Preliminaries
The National Spelling Bee Compe-tition 2008 Preliminaries continues to 3 December as follows:
Division 11 Secondary Preliminaries will now be on Wednesday 19 November at Mary Miller Memorial Hall.

KRI Performing Arts School presents Carbaret of Music & Dance

Cayman Prep and High School will be holding its annual dinner
Cayman Prep and High School will be holding its annual dinner and talent show extravaganza at the Marriott Beach Resort this Friday, 21 November at 7:00 pm. Tickets cost $130 per person and can be purchased at either of the School offices located on Walkers Road and Smith Road. This is a fundraising event for the School and it will be a fun filled evening for all!  Please stop by the school to purchase your tickets.

St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine hosts lecture series
St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine continues its lecture series being given by 3 avian experts that is free for the community. “Basic Care for Birds” is a seminar series for avian caregivers. Seminar 3 Avian Nutrition will take place on Thursday 20 November at 6:00 pm.

Market at the Grounds, Lower Valley
The farmers’ and artisans’ market located at the Stacy Watler Agricultural Pavilion in Lower Valley, is open every Saturday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. Locally grown produce, baked goods, arts and crafts etc are all available. Anyone also interested in becoming a vendor at the Market is asked to contact Gina Bodden at the Department of Agriculture at 947-3090.

National Gallery’s Ladies Scrapbooking

National Gallery’s Art Zone
On Mondays from 5:15 pm -7:15 pm Art Magnet (open to the public) will take place. It is an after school youth art group for teenagers where participants are encouraged to use this class as a safe haven for free thinking, discussion and expression without any judgment. The group finds common interests and develops projects by experimenting with a variety of mediums and media. Art Zone is located in various districts on a rotating schedule. Call for details.
