As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, Water Authority-Cayman will be hosting the popular Business After Hours at its headquarters on Red Gate Road on Thursday, 8 January.

The Chamber of Commerce and the Water Authority invite members, guests and Water Authority customers to attend the special event from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Water Authority Director Dr Gelia Frederick-van Genderen also serves on the Chamber Council.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the Water Authority to celebrate 25 years of service with its customers and show support for the Chamber,” said Dr Frederick-van Genderen. “I encourage all Chamber members to come and network at our Business After Hours as they learn more about the Water Authority.”

Members and guests will learn about the importance of water conservation at the event which is themed “Using Water Wisely.” Doubling as a customer appreciation evening, the event will also be used to officially introduce Water Authority’s gift certificates and 25th Anniversary commemorative stamp, which was released in late 2008. The National Trust will also participate in the event and will have on hand DVDs of the documentary “The History of Water in the Cayman Islands” for those wishing to obtain a copy for a nominal donation.

Business After Hours is one of the Chamber’s most popular networking and social events for its membership, with between 100 and 300 members and guests attending. Business professionals are encouraged to attend these events to visit and support local businesses as well as to interact with clients, colleagues and potential customers in an informal setting.
