Promoting a healthy lifestyle, X107.1 Breakfast Team’s Dane and Chloe announce their weight-loss success.

Radio station X107.1 Breakfast Team’s Dane and Chloe announced their weight-loss “success” after publicly embarking on a 12-week fitness campaign.

Cayman Islands Olympian Ronald Forbes’ visit to the studio at the end of September last year kick-started DMS Broadcasting’s campaign to actively promote the message of a healthier lifestyle.

A press release from the company said: “After enduring 12 gruelling weeks, spanning from the beginning of October until the end of December, Dane and Chloe’s fitness campaign has yielded impressive results with both of them shedding a total of l0 lbs each. “During this time they committed to a minimum of 30 minutes exercise everyday, as well as adopting healthier eating habits to accompany their workout regimes. In an effort to encourage their listeners to get on the bandwagon, Dane and Chloe endured weekly weigh-ins and measurements to assess their progress, updating X107.1 listeners along the way.”

With gym memberships to all three King’s Sports Centre locations including Countryside Shopping Village, Treasure Island and Grand Harbour, as well as complimentary personal training sessions, both Chloe and Dane reaped the benefits of weight-loss success, according to DMS Broadcasting.

Announcer Chloe said: “My trainer, Callroy, pushed me to my limit - but when I started to see results, I knew the pain was worth it. I am so grateful to the team at King’s Sports Centre for getting me on track to my goal weight.”

With the intention to lose weight, get fit, and adopt a healthier attitude regarding fitness, they originally undertook the challenge for eight weeks, but extended it an additional four weeks as Chloe enlisted the assistance of the professional team at King’s Sports Centre to give Dane that extra push.

“Towards the end of the eight weeks we realized that it would be beneficial to recruit the help of the King’s team to further motivate Dane – just to ensure that he got the most out of the challenge that he could,” announcer Chloe said.

Announcer Dane said: “Though daunting at first, after several gym sessions I shockingly had the epiphany that I actually enjoyed working out, and now I incorporate exercise into my everyday lifestyle.”

X107.1 Programme Director Matthew Nasby said he is proud of the efforts.

“I am proud of my team for rising to the challenge and doing so with such success. Leading the way by example is the best way to communicate your message, and DMS Broadcasting’s message is to adopt a healthy lifestyle, especially for the New Year,” he said.
