Stingrays controlled bowling.
Stingrays recorded a major victory as the British American Insurance Women League continued on Sunday 24 May at the John A. Cumber school ground. They defeated ESSO Panthers by 9 wickets with an excellent all-round performance from Lamarr Robinson. Giving her support were Pam Martin and Paulette Robinson.
ESSO Panthers batted first and got off to a good start from Wyvonne Forbes and Wendy Quinland. Cherry Whittaker continued the attack, closing the Panthers’ innings at 117 for 2 wickets. There was however no stopping Stingrays as, following a controlled bowling display, they piled on the runs in quick fashion and won by a decisive margin.
In the CLICO Cayman Division 1, Greenies 1 continued on the path to a major showdown with fellow frontrunners Prison by completing a ruthless victory against Paramount. One of this season’s major players, Josh Brown, picked up another five-wicket haul as Greenies 1 restricted Paramount to 122. It was no problem for Greenies 1 with Ian Rotsey scoring an undefeated half-century (61n.o).
Chillies playing in the CLICO CAYMAN Division 2 returned to the winning formula defeating Greenies Too by 68 runs.
