Seven released from the Northward Prison

The Head of the Governor’s Office Steve Moore on Tuesday, 30 June stated that seven men were released from HMP Northward Friday, 26 June.

The Governor’s Office makes decisions on the parole of inmates based on the advice of the Parole Board and in consultation with the Attorney General’s Office.

Following recent legal advice from the Attorney General’s Office the decision was taken on Friday, release date.

The release of the men followed the determination by the Attorney General’s Office that they had all completed their sentences and were eligible for release.
