Triple C alumni reunite

Published on Thursday, July 2, 2009 Email To Friend    Print Version

Alumni and their children attended the gathering.

Past students of Triple C School gathered Saturday, 16 June at the Seven Mile Public Beach to meet, greet and socialise at their 2009 Alumni Reunion.

Students of the Class of 1977 also celebrated the 32nd anniversary of their graduation, which was held on 6 June, 1977.

Also in attendance was one of the members of the first graduating Class (1947) of Triple C, Virginia Bodden who now resides in New Jersey USA.

Members of the Class of 2009 received an early welcome into the Alumni Association as their final day at Triple C was set for Monday, 8 June.

Attendees were catered to by Cayman’s famous Chef John Jefferson, who provided his famous barbecued chicken and ribs.

Debbie Ebanks, Class of 1977, who chaired the small but vibrant organising committee, said the Committee was ever so grateful to those past students who stepped up to the plate to make this year’s event a success by donating water, soft drinks and juices, as well as hot dogs, a bouncing castle and a floating pool for the kids.

Mention was also made of the support given by the school in providing tables and chairs, and the PTA who provided two tents.

The Triple C Alumni Association intends to make this event an annual one and encourages those past students who did not receive any electronic communication to contact Debbie Ebanks at debbido@candw.ky with their email address.

Triple C School has been providing a quality Christian education in the Cayman Islands since 1941. It was the first private school to provide both elementary and secondary education. The school, which covers Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12, is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International. 50% of its graduates seek higher education in the United States.
