The 17th Annual Flowers Sea Swim held on Saturday, 20 June was a splashing success. Over 800 participants registered, with 750 of them in the competitive section.

Cayman’s olympians - the Fraser Brothers, Shaun and Bret, maintained territorial integrity by finishing the race from Royal Palms to the Ritz-Carlton in just about 18 minutes.

The Flowers Sea Swim is indeed one of the community’s most anticipated events, attracting hundreds of spectators and being supported by a great number of sponsors such as the Department of Tourism and DART.

Cayman Airways donated some 120,000 air miles to assist the visiting celebrity swimmers and Digicel was present to hand out souvenirs to the participants.

With no records shattered this year, the $ 75,000 prize money was not taken.
