President of the Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) Jeffrey Webb has charged newly-elected Vice President of CIFA Peter Campbell with the responsibilities of reviewing CIFA’s technical structures and policies and to establish a new Technical Committee.

The new technical committee will see to the revision and assessment of the development of football in the Cayman Islands so as to create a sustainable technical department and structure.

The technical committee, which was recently appointed, is headed by Vice President of CIFA, Peter Campbell. The other members are Deputy Chairman Paul Macey, Technical Director Carl Brown, Winston Chung Fah, Armando Ebanks, Lee Ramoon, Barry Martinez and Peter Anderson.

Campbell, in response to questions regarding his new role in the association, in a recent interview expressed how honored he was to have been given this responsibility:

“I accept this position with great pride. I am deeply honored to serve CIFA at this time. As a former football player and someone who has great passion for the game of football, I promise to perform at the best of my ability as I serve in the capacity of Vice President and Chairman of the CIFA Technical Committee and Development Committee,” Campbell said.

Meanwhile, Webb in a brief comment said that he welcomed Campbell and was positive that his input in this committee would lead to the improvement in the structure and development of football on the island.

“I have no doubt that Peter Campbell and his team will lead this committee professionally and assist in taking football to the next level. The committee has a huge responsibility in the development of Cayman football. The education and development of our coaches are of paramount importance and will play a huge part in the improvements and achievements of Cayman football,” Webb commented.
