A boxing star now reigns in our hearts
Great write up and nice to know Cayman is knowledgeable about this great match up. - Fernando Lderma

Voice of the People: Are rental prices too high?
I totally agree that rent is ridiculously high - mostly for condos or apartments. There are some private homes on the rental market that go for well under what is charged for a one-bedroom apartment. It’s worth looking into. - Shirley Phillip

Minister calls for healthier lifestyle
I agree with the Minister. Obesity is a problem. What is also a problem are safe places to exercise in the light of not only the crime situation, but the increasing number of people texting on their phones while driving. I suggest the minister re-open the track to the public to exercise as it was before the former Minister closed it, only allowing elite athletes to have its use without providing an alternative for the taxpayers. - Victor Look Loy

Approval rating of Premier down
Oh give it a chance! He has only been Premier for 13 days. - Amar Sheow

Carifta 2010 officially launched
My comments are that I am excited toward it and working toward it. Thank you, Carifta, for putting the decathlon on. I trust that this will be an exciting and well organized Carifta games, and no where better than the beautiful Cayman Islands. - Julian Fletcher

Doctor recognised for medical breakthough
I was delighted to read the piece about Dr Sarath de Alwis-Seneviratne. The words I wrote in my book (now in its second edition) are an accurate portrayal of a gifted surgeon and compassionate clinician. An obstetrician and gynecologist has two patients: mother and her infant. Dr Sarath de Alwis-Seneviratne is sensitive to the emotional needs of his patients, whilst upholding the very best of clinical practice. It was a pleasure to have worked with him in London in the
early nineties. - Dr Michael Barrie

Cayman Islands in the Foreign Press
Good ambitions, but Caymanians need to hear Mr Bush’s report of how they, as his voting constituents, are going to benefit financially from that 2.7 billion he plans to attract over the next three years. Just how is all this money going to trickle down and make the lives of his people better? We are all waiting for the Premier’s report. - John Smith, Texas

Cable and Wireless Caribbean appoints VPs
Donald Austin! Wishing all the best in your new position. Love and regards. - Lolitha Roman

Editorial: Disconnect from Cayman’s economic realities
Darn good editorial; very sound. - Linda Rutherford

Five-year work permits coming
The new plan with the Immigration / permit is
much better. - Jean Henry

Commentary - Everybody’s Business: Standards of public life
Mr Barlow is correct! I can remember before I was forced to close my little business and leave the Cayman Islands. I was put on the immigration blacklist because I had a Caymanian girlfriend, and I was still running the business after our relationship was over, it was said at the immigration department! Another Jamaican uses a Caymanian again! I can remember sitting in the immigration office speaking to a senior officer, pleading my case to get a work permit approved, which turned out to be unsuccessful. The same officer was shouting to another officer, who was speaking to someone at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, to remember my lunch! I’m sure that officer wouldn’t turn down any work permit for the Ritz Carlton. - Derrick Lawrence

Premier courts fund managers
A straight thinker and straight talker; you cannot go wrong with your premier... wish there was a few more of them in the world political arena! - D. Hardy

Police record another fatal road accident
Another sad day for the families left behind. He must have been going one hell of a speed to run his car off the road there. - Helen Godfrey

Editorial: Moving ahead with the new constitution
Do you have elected representation in the UK parliament? If not; what force does this Constitution really have? Power is reserved to an office of the Parliament, correct -- the FCO? Do your citizens have any electoral sway over the FCO? - Edward Sisson
