Cayman Kayak Fundraiser “Day for the Trust”, (including Moonlight Tour) Join Cayman Kayaks in a one-day fundraiser for the National Trust in support of their efforts to preserve biodiversity in the Cayman Islands on Sunday 11 May. Free parvovirus vaccinations for all dogs and puppies Cayman Islands Humane Society with Island Veterinary Services are offering free parvovirus vaccinations for all dogs and puppies on the island. The free clinic will take place on 18 May and 1 June from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Island Veterinary Services, Eden Centre, Walkers Road. All dogs must be kept on a leash. The Society urges everyone who has not had their pet vaccinated to attend and help combat the spread of this deadly virus, whilst keeping your own pet safe. Conch and Whelk Season Closes  Conch and whelk-taking season has ended. Department of Environment officials accordingly remind the public that anyone found guilty of violating the law is liable to a maximum penalty of CI$500,000 and one year in jail. Bottle Crusher for Recycling at National Trust The National Trust informs the public that they have recycled glass for sale (CI$1 a tub) which can be used for filling in driveways, under tarmac etc. Those interested in seeing demonstrations are invited to visit the Visitor’s Centre at Dart Park, South Sound, from Mondays – Friday, at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. They ask that people bring clean empty bottles for recycling and “help us help you recycle!”

‘Paws and Claws’ Thrift Shop on the Brac ‘Paws and Claws’, a thrift shop of the Brac Branch of the Humane Society, is located next to Sailboat Plaza.
