On Saturday night, 3 May the Dockside of Brac Reef Beach Resort was abuzz as the contestants in the Miss Teen pageant for Cayman Brac met with residents and got their first taste at modeling and getting used to talking to an audience. The aim of the event was to give them guidelines on changing their outfit quickly as well as getting their make up done at the same time.

Organizer of the programme, Ventisha Conolly said, “The girls, I felt, did a marvelous job and really now have a feel for what it takes to keep their composure when all eyes are on them.”

She continued by offering her appreciation to Stephanie Grizzel, the makeup artist, who she felt did a wonderful job, and fellow Lion Ramoutee Chattoor with assisting the girls in changing their apparels.  A big ‘thank you’ went out to Polly’s Landing and Brac Reef Beach Resort for the beachwear that the girls modeled and for co-sponsoring the event with Lions, she added.

Patrons at the event marveled at this year’s contestants and expressed that it would be a difficult decision for the judges.

Miss Teen Cayman Brac 2008 will take place on Saturday, 10 May at the Ashton Rutty Centre commencing at 6:30 pm. Ms Conolly is urging everyone to make the event a success by being punctual so that the show could start at the prescribed time.
