Neighbourhood Officer Police Constable Mark Miller and officers from the Traffic Management Unit and K9 Unit will discuss crime and other concerns of eastern districts’ residents in the coming days.

Residents will have the opportunity to meet with their local police officers and pick up some essential crime prevention tips at various events, including the Family Fun Day at North Side Park on Saturday, 17 May, beginning at 2:00 pm.

Then, on Monday, 19 May those attending the Family Fun Day at the Agriculture Grounds in Lower Valley will have the chance to meet with their Neighbourhood Officer, PC Clifford Garcia. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with the officer on their concerns and will be advised on how to keep property and personal items safe.

Area Commander, Chief Inspector Richard Barrow, urged residents to attend these two community events.

“Events like this go a long way to boosting community spirit and engagement. Getting involved in these types of initiatives allows people to get to know their local officers and their neighbours,” he said.
