Adrianne Beersingh received her induction certificate at the 27th birthday anniversary of Rotary Club.
The Rotary Club of Cayman Brac met under the stars at the Public Beach on Monday, 14 April 2008 to celebrate its 27th birthday with a barbecue dinner and a birthday cake.
One of the highlights of the evening was the induction of Adrianne Beersingh as the club’s newest member.
There are currently twenty members in the club and the service club has already embarked upon numerous community projects and has every desire to continue doing so.
President John Elliot presented Rotarian Adrianne with her membership pin and Past President Sandra Solomon presented the membership certificate. President Elliot also presented a Sergeant-at-Arms pin to Rotarian Richard Moss.
The function of the sergeant-at-arms is to help maintain an orderly, dignified, and effective Rotary club meeting, one that will make a right kind of impression on club visitors and guests. The sergeant should also be constantly on the alert to prevent any occurrence that might detract from the dignity and prestige associated with Rotary clubs. Specifically, the function is to handle the physical preparations for, and the mechanical part of, a meeting and, unobtrusively, to guide its general conduct. |
