Youth Gatherings with Justices of the Peace
To commemorate Child Month, the Justices of the Peace Association, The Department of Children & Family Services and the Youth Services Unit has organized a series of gathering with young people and the Justices of the Peaces in their districts.
George Town’s gathering will take place on Friday at the Family Life Centre, Walkers Road, at 7:30 pm. East End and North Side will take place on Friday 23 May at Frank Sound Chapel Church at 8:00 pm.


Saturday

CI High School Class of ’83
The Cayman Islands High School Class of ’83 is celebrating 25 years of having graduated from high school and will be taking a walk down memory land this Saturday for all classmates. The walk will commence at 6:30 am from Smith’s Cove and follow the Old Cross Country 2-mile route. Breakfast will include fried fish, fritters and juice. A small donation of $3.00 is requested. Children & Youth Evangelistic Festival
The First Assembly of God Church will be holding an Evangelistic Festival from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (Children’s Ministry) and 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Youth Ministry) at the church grounds. Games and lots of fun to be had. Guest Speakers Ezekiel Carsella and Rev Timothy Robinson. Bus transport pick up from East End, George Town, North Side and West Bay. Free admission. Sunday

SDA Annual 10K Run/Walk
The Cayman Islands Conference of SDA will be having its Annual 10K Run/Walk this Sunday at 5:00 pm. There will also be races for children ages 4-6; 7-9; and 10-12. Register now and get a free T-shirt. Call 926-8264 or 949-8167.


Monday

BT Family Fun Day
As part of Child Month activities, the public is invited to attend a free Bodden Town Family Fun Day this Monday at the Agricultural Grounds in Lower Valley. Gates will open at 10:30 am. There’ll be refreshments on sale, a full day of fun for all ages, including bouncing castles, horseback riding, and water slides for children; and health information and many other sporting activities for everyone.

Heritage High School’s Beach Cookout & Barbeque
Heritage High School Home School Association is having a fundraising Beach Cookout & Barbeque on Monday at the West Bay Public Beach, from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Dinner on sale including fried fish & fritters (Fillet Dolphin) for $10 and includes a drink. All proceeds are in aid of the school’s Educational Field Trip Summer 2008.

New Testament Church of God Prayer Breakfast
The New Testament Church of God in the Cayman Islands presents its annual Prayer Breakfast at the Family Life Centre, Walker’s Road on Monday from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm. Tickets cost CI$40 and can be purchased by calling 947-6729 or 925-3025.

Don’t forget to visit a church of your choice on Sunday.
