Celebrated artist Sean Kingston will be headlining ‘Saturday Nite Live’, a concert slated om Saturday, 31 May and will be in Cayman playing his much-acclaimed hits including ‘Beautiful Girls’ and ‘Take You There’.

Being held at the J Bodden Marl Pit, just off Sparky Drive, the concert will also feature Turbulence, Ali-BE, Big J, Glamaton, and Stuart Wilson. To kick off the evening, there will be a pre-party hosted by official radio sponsor HOT 104.1 FM at Next Level Nightclub on Friday, 30 May, kicking off at 9:00pm, and Turbulence will be in attendance.

“We are anticipating a fantastic turnout as loyal fans gather to celebrate the music. Kingston is such a popular musician, and we are thrilled to be a part of bringing such a high-profile performer to the Island. We are extremely excited about the upcoming concert and can assure you Cayman residents are in for a treat,” commented Phil Vinciullo, network promotions and marketing manager of dms Broadcasting, whose stations, HOT 104.1 FM and X107.1, are the official radio sponsors of the event.

Sean Kingston was predominantly raised in Kingston. His stage name pays homage to where he considers his hometown. Kingston is a Jamaican-American reggae singer and rapper whose Christian name is Kisean Anderson. At the age of just 18 years old, Kingston has already achieved remarkable success with chart-topping hits including ‘Beautiful Girls’ and ‘Take You There.’ His varied musical style and range goes from pop to reggae with simple but touching lyrics and catchy rhythms that appeal to a wide age range. He recently debuted his new release with Phil Collins reflecting his love and appreciation for older music icons.

21 year-old Turbulence, also known as Sheldon Campbell, was raised in Jamaica. He blends hip hop and R&B influences into his version of reggae, combining soulful vocals with his DJing skills.

Commented an enthused Sandi Newton, president of The Edward G. Agency Ltd, “Presenting my first concert in Cayman with a young, world-renowned platinum recording artist -  well it doesn’t get any better than that does it…until the next concert!”

“As always we would like to take this opportunity to thank all participating sponsors for their support - this was certainly a team effort to bring such a high-profile act to Cayman,” added Phil. “The Edward G. Agency Ltd. has been incredible to work with as well as Caybrew, Cayman Free Press, Digicel, G2, Marriott Beach Resort and Papa Johns.”

Tickets are available at Funky Tangs, Reflections and at the dms Broadcasting studios. Admission is $35 in advance, $45 at the gate and $75 for VIP, which includes giveways from sponsors and complimentary Caybrew and finger foods.

HOT 104.1 FM, a BET affiliate, plays a mix of reggae, soca, and calypso and prides itself on being the only station in Cayman dedicated entirely to Caribbean music.

X107.1, Cayman’s #1 Hit Music Station, is an MTV affiliate featuring international Top 40 artists like Maroon 5, Sugababes, Rihanna, Leona Lewis, Amy Winehouse, Paolo Nutini, Lily Allen, Timbaland and Fergie. For more information or to listen online, visit www.x1071.ky.
