Cayman versus the World

CIFA wishes to announces the visit of World Cup Winner and former FIFA World Player of the Year, Romario, to the Cayman Islands, along with several other former World Cup players from Jamaica with the likes of Theodore “Tappa” Whitmore, Walter “Blacka” Boyd, Ian Goodison, Ricardo Gardener and World Cup players from Honduras, Trinidad & Tobago and the USA (names to be confirmed soon) to play a game in honour of the Cayman Islands’ own World Cup player, Lee Ramoon, on Sunday 29 June.

The game will be played at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex at 7:00 pm. Romario will give the keynote address at the CIFA’s dinner for Excellence to be held at the Ritz-Carlton on Friday 27 June.  The dinner will also include a fund-raising auction featuring football memorabilia from around the world.

All proceeds from the dinner will go towards CIFA’s Centre for Excellence project, which began construction last week.  Tickets for the game will be $15.00, $20.00 and $50 for VIP while the tickets for the dinner will cost $150.00 per person.
