New Project Management Training Course to be Offered

Published on Monday, September 8, 2008 Email To Friend    Print Version

Key Consulting Inc will host another weeklong project management course in the Cayman Islands, beginning next Monday.

The 15-19 September course is expected to take participants’ project management skills to the next level and also prepare them to sit the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management (PMP) exams.

Key Consulting is a project management services company that works with and trains individuals and organizations to improve the management of their projects. All their senior project managers are certified as PMPs by PMI, and Key Consulting is a PMI Registered Education Provider.

Key said it conducted a similar project management course in Cayman in early April, which was very well received.

“We had an excellent course with great participants, and everyone learned a lot,” said Kevin Archbold, Consulting Manager at Key Consulting.

The September course will be lead by Ralph Kliem, PMP. He has over 25 years of experience with Fortune 500, public service, and small firms in business management and information systems, involving project management in many different capacities. He is a former adjunct faculty member with Seattle Pacific University and currently teaches at Bellevue Community College and City University.

Mr Kliem has published over 250 articles on business, communications, and information systems topics, and has authored or co-authored 15 books. He has been teaching project management courses for Key Consulting for several years, and has helped many people pass the PMP exam. He currently resides in Redmond, Washington, USA.

Key’s project management courses are part of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Professional Development Training programme.

“As businesses’ encounter change and manage growth in the 21st Century, it is extremely important for them to successfully plan, organize and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives for future development,” said Joanne Diaz-Berry, Programmes and Event Planner at the Chamber. “In keeping with the Chamber’s focus on workforce development and encouraging economic prosperity within its Membership, we are pleased to partner with Key Consulting Inc. in offering a Project Management Certification course which we believe will facilitate and establish a good framework for business development.”

For those that are presently pursuing their certification in project management, Key said, this course will be a great tool to assist them with moving their training to the next level.
